Handmade typewriter key ornament

Welcome to day two of six of Holy Craft's six days of handmade ornaments. Yesterday I shared with you the handmade Scrabble tile ornament.  Today, I will be sharing with you a round typewriter key ornament.

There are so many ways to personalize these ornaments for your family and friends. I picked this 5 since there are five people in our family. They are super easy to create. Let me show you!

I was recently at Ben Franklin craft store {sorry, it's local} and found these paper mache ornaments for $.69 each. I immediately thought of a typewriter key.  You can find these paper mache round ornaments at your local Michael's. You can probably find them on sale like I did.

Five years ago, I created this Pottery Barn knock off typewriter art.  You can find the tutorial here.

I used the same text font file {it's called Type keys by Ronna Penner} to print off a few different letters and then cut them out. I probably could have made them into a Silhouette file and had them cut out the circle for me, but I didn't. I did it the old fashioned way.

Then I mod podged the letters on to the blank ornament and sprinkled a little clear glitter on top before it dried.

You can use the ornaments as gift tags on your presents

or just hang them on the tree and enjoy!

Another easy inexpensive handmade ornament! Come back tomorrow to see another handmade ornament as part of six days of handmade!
