Welcome back to another week of garage sale finds Friday. Where I share with you my latest garage sale finds. This series is starting to wind down for the summer as garage sale season is starting to come to a close. As long as I have finds to share, I will be sharing them with you! In fact, this weekend is one of my favorite neighborhood sales all year long! So there is sure to be at least one more good GSFF left in me!
For now, I can't wait to show you what I found!
It was a cold wet Saturday when I pulled up to a sale in my area. I rarely go to Saturday sales that have been open on Friday, since most things are picked over, but because the weather was so yucky, I knew I couldn't be picky with which sales I stopped at because, well, there just weren't that many sales to pick from.
Lucky for me, the owners of this sale weren't really interested in being out in the cold much longer than they needed to be and had started marking their furniture items down that didn't sell the previous day. I saw this craftsman style library desk and was immediately drawn to it. The original tag said $75, but she had marked it down to $30. Always one to negotiate, I asked if she would take $20 and she was happy to.
I also found this storage box. For some reason, I can't think of it being anything other than a mini fig storage box. Any Lego fans out there?! I'm pretty sure that's not what it is, but for $2 it was worth picking up.
I love crates. The older the better. This one is handmade, huge and solid. It weighs at least 30 pounds. It's a great storage piece that has the potential for upcycling don't you think? I paid $5 for it.
One of these three items will hit the blog on Tuesday as a transformation Tuesday post. Which one do you think it is?
