Glittery pumpkin

I'm sort of in denial that summer is over. But after doing a little shopping this morning, there was no denying that the Halloween decorations are up, candy is filling the aisles and the kids are back in school.
I happened to pop into the Dollar store this morning and saw these carveable pumpkins. I couldn't pass it up.

I came home, dug out my silver spray paint and set to work.

Don't you love it?

I'm all about fall colors, but there is something surprising about silver and glitter on a pumpkin that just makes me smile. This isn't the first time I have glitterfied a pumpkin. You can even do it to real ones.

Ah, now it feels like fall...sort of.

  1. I'm usually not a glitter person but I love this! And surprisingly, it really does make me think of fall! I just might have to glitterfy my fake pumpkins this year!
