Easy four ingredient guacamole you can make in your food processor

On Monday, I shared with you our new summer go to recipe, chicken burrito bowls.
Everything was microwaveable and didn't heat up the kitchen. We topped those burrito bowls with some yummy guacamole and I want to share with you my easy homemade guacamole recipe.
You will need:
2 avocados, juice from half of a freshly squeezed lemon {about 2 TBSP}, 2 TBSP chopped onion, 1/2 tsp salt

I use my mini-prep food processor and blend all of the ingredients together.

It's as easy as that!

One little tip to keep your guacamole from browning is to put the pit of one of your avocado's into your guac.  You don't have to serve it like this, but if you have any leftover {it's rare, but it happens!} and you want to store it, this is a great way to come back to green {not brown} guacamole the next day.

This guacamole recipe is a great base for more advanced recipes.  You can add some tomato, garlic, cilantro, jalapeno, cayenne pepper, ground cumin, you name it!  Just start with the basics and add the extras to fit your mood.

It's a delicious dip for chips, a great topping for Mexican night or on a sandwich.  Or you can eat it by the spoonful. It's just that delicious!
