Monogram onesie

I love to make sweet little things for babies. It's probably my favorite thing to craft. So when I got the invite for my cousins baby shower, I got started on a little something for the new baby in the family.

I started with two coordinating fabrics

some scissors and iron on wonder under

I used a lid that I had around as a template for the circle

and printed off a font I liked in Word. I started by taping my letter to the window backwards (super important!) and traced it on to my wonder under paper.

Then with my fabric on the wrong side, I ironed the letter and the circle shape on.

Then you cut out your shapes

You peal the backing of the wonder under off and then place it on your fabric to iron down.

Make sure all of your edges are firmly in place and continue to iron the whole area.

I then placed the initial on and ironed that down as well. Making sure it was firmly in place.

Pair it with a cute little homemade hairbow and you are done!

ps-you can stitch around the edges of the circle and the initial, but I didn't. Babies grow quickly, but if I were making it for a toddler, I would have.

  1. How precious. Thanks for the step-by-step instructions too.
And I agree with you, creative blogs are a slippery slope! (You said that in your blog greeting).

  2. Design is an uncommon thing in every individual's life. It mirrors their way of life, their character, their demeanor and approach towards life and most the specific styles they like in garments and foot wear and different frill. Kawaii Shop
